No salary is shown until a cohort has a source, a period and at least 12 observations. Base, bonus and equity will sit in separate columns. A single “total comp” number will not be the quote.

Collection, inclusion, review

A figure enters only with a source the page can name.

Source type: member-reported, offer letter, or filed disclosure. Anonymous averages from other sites do not count.
The person must match the cohort: role, stage, sector, headcount band, location.
Minimum 12 observations before a median. Under 12, the cohort stays on the gap list or shows a range, never a P50.
Every published band is reviewed on a 90-day cycle. The update log carries the date.

Methodology

Three numbers, not one

Quoting paper value as if it were salary is how boards mis-set a band.

Grant value. The value used when the grant was made.
Paper value. The value at the last priced round or mark.
Realised proceeds. Cash or shares actually received.

When each band was last reviewed
